Reference image workflow
Start with the image you already have.
Upload a reference image, describe the subject, style, composition, or motion you want to carry forward, and use it as the starting point for an AI image or video.
What a reference image does
Give the create flow a visual starting point, then say what you want next.
A reference image is useful when the source image already contains something you want to work from: a subject, an overall visual direction, a composition, or the first frame of a video. In Create, upload it in the image or video workspace and add the direction in your own words.
The image is a starting point, not a promise that every detail will be copied exactly. Review the result before using it, and keep work you want to revisit in Assets.

Can I create an AI image from a reference image?
Yes. In Create, use the image workspace, upload your reference image, and add a prompt describing the picture you want to make from that starting point.
Can I use a reference image to start an AI video?
Yes. In Create, use the video workspace, upload the reference image, and describe the motion or change you want to see. Keep the finished result in Assets if you want to revisit it.
